Thane, Apr 6 (PTI) Two persons were injured in a collision between an autorickshaw and a car on a flyover in Maharashtra's Thane city in the early hours of Monday, leading to an oil spill and slow-moving
traffic, an official said.
The accident occurred on a flyover near Kharegaon in the Kalwa area around 5.42 am, he said.
The driver and passenger of the autorickshaw were injured when the three-wheeler crashed into a car coming from the opposite direction, said Yasin Tadvi, the chief of the Disaster Management Cell.
The injured were undergoing treatment at the civic-run Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa, he said.
He stated that the collision resulted in an oil spill on the road, which slowed down traffic on the route.
"Vehicular movement slowed down temporarily due to the accident and oil spill. However, the damaged vehicles were later shifted to the side of the road and traffic was restored," Tadvi added. PTI COR ARU
