Tagros Chemicals India has taken a major step toward strengthening its global footprint and delivering world-class crop protection solutions to farmers with the acquisition of global brand assets related
to Bayer AG’s Flubendiamide (“FLB”) active ingredient business across the LATAM, EMEA, and APAC regions. The definitive agreement covers solo and mixture formulations of Flubendiamide along with a comprehensive set of business assets, including globally recognized trademarks such as BELT, FAME, FENOS, FENOS QUICK, BELT EXPERT, and TIHAN.
For Indian farmers, the acquisition represents access to proven, high-quality Diamide-based insecticide solutions that are globally trusted for effective control of insect pests in key crops such as rice, cotton, vegetables, pulses, and fruits. Flubendiamide-based products are known for their targeted mode of action, long-lasting efficacy, and favourable safety profile, helping farmers protect yields while supporting sustainable agricultural practices.
With Tagros’ strong manufacturing capabilities, deep technical expertise, and local market understanding, Indian farmers are expected to benefit from improved availability of advanced formulations, consistent product quality, and stronger technical support. The move aligns with Tagros’ long-term commitment to enhancing farm productivity, reducing crop losses, and supporting food security in India.
Globally, the acquisition provides Tagros with immediate access to markets across more than 25 countries, significantly expanding its reach in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. It also reinforces Tagros’ leadership position in the Diamide segment, one of the most important classes of modern insecticides worldwide.
“This transaction marks a defining moment in Tagros’ journey,” the company said. “By combining Bayer’s globally established Flubendiamide portfolio with Tagros’ scale, technical depth, and manufacturing strength, we are well positioned to serve farmers across geographies with reliable and innovative crop protection solutions.”
The acquisition also marks Tagros’ strategic entry into the B2C formulations business. The acquired formulations portfolio will be housed under Arqivo, Tagros’ newly established entity focused on branded formulations and closer engagement with end users. Through Arqivo, Tagros aims to build strong farmer-centric brands, enhance field-level outreach, and deliver solutions tailored to local agronomic needs.
For Tagros, the transaction accelerates its transformation from a predominantly active-ingredient-focused company to an integrated global player with strong downstream capabilities. It strengthens customer relationships, enhances brand equity, and creates long-term value across the agricultural value chain.
As Indian agriculture continues to face challenges from pest pressure, climate variability, and the need for higher productivity, Tagros’ expanded portfolio and global expertise are expected to play a meaningful role in supporting farmers—both in India and around the world—through science-driven, sustainable crop protection solutions
