Firozabad (UP), May 27 (PTI) A man who killed his elderly parents over a property dispute has been sentenced along with four others by a court here.
District Judge Babbu Singh Narang convicted Yogesh alias
Beetu, his wife Rashmi, and their associates Ankita, Ravi and Sushil on Tuesday in the case related to the killing of Rakesh and his wife Guddi Devi in 2023, District Government Counsel Rajeev Upadhyay said.
According to the prosecution, the couple, residents of Nagla Ramiyan village, were intercepted and shot dead on May 28, 2023, while they were travelling after leasing out their agricultural land and collecting the money.
The complaint in the case was lodged by the deceased couple's younger son, Seetu, who alleged that his elder brother Yogesh had been involved in a dispute with their father over division of property.
Seetu told police that Yogesh, along with his wife Rashmi and aides Ankita, Ravi and Sushil, had conspired to kill his parents over the dispute, Upadhyay said.PTI COR CDN DV
