Sikkim reviews Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

• Sikkim CS reviewed Kailash Yatra preparations on Friday.
• Logistical arrangements for upcoming June yatra were checked.
• Officials instructed to ensure smooth yatra conduct from Sikkim.

Gangtok, May 29 (PTI) Sikkim Chief Secretary R Telang on Friday chaired a coordination meeting to review preparations for the upcoming Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

At the meeting held at Tashiling Secretariat

here, he reviewed logistical arrangements comprising hospitality, medical facilities, power and water supply, road conditions, traffic management, network connectivity, customs clearance, and media coverage.

Telang instructed senior officials of the departments concerned to ensure smooth and efficient conduct of the yatra.

The meeting was organised by the Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation (STDC), which is the nodal agency for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Sikkim.

The Yatra is scheduled for the month of June. PTI KDK RBT
