Kolkata, May 18 (PTI) The West Bengal cabinet on Monday approved the formation of two panels under former judges of Calcutta High Court to probe into alleged institutional corruption and atrocities on women
and girl child under the previous TMC regime, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said.
The CM said the panel constituted to probe into allegations of financial irregularities and 'cut money' practices will be headed by retired Justice Biswajit Basu. Senior IPS officer Jayaraman is the member-secretary of the panel.
The other panel to investigate incidents of atrocities against women and girl child will be headed by retired Judge Samapti Chatterjee, with senior IPS officer Damayanti Sen as the member secretary.
