Jaipur: As many as 24 government employees, including 10 teachers, have been made accused of getting the job with fake disability certificates in Rajasthan. The police will now lodge individual FIRs against
the alleged culprits.
This misuse of disability certificates has been revealed by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the police, who, after receiving numerous complaints regarding this, launched an investigation and identified 42 suspicious cases.
In the first phase, 29 employees and officers were re-examined by the special medical board of SMS Medical College, and only five of them were found disabled. Rest 24 had used fake disability certificates to get the job.
SP Gyanchand Yadav of SOG said, "We had complaints regarding misuse of disability certificates for government jobs. To verify the complaints, SOG first kept an eye on the concerned officer and employee and then conducted a medical checkup of 29 employees.
Among these, the certificates of all 13 employees in the hearing impaired category were found to be fake. 6 out of 8 of the visually impaired category and 5 out of 8 employees of the locomotor disabled category were also found with fake certificates. Only 5 employees were found to be actually disabled.
SOG will take further action by registering FIR against those who got government jobs by giving fake certificates. At the same time, we have shared the information of these 24 employees—officers with their respective departments, while the investigation of the rest of the cases is going on as well.
