Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X (formerly Twitter) for seven days and wrote,
"Scattered moderate rains with strong winds across the state in coastal and Malnad districts and heavy to very heavy rains at isolated places on August 6 & 7. Scattered light to moderate rains in interior districts till August 8."

Light to moderate rainfall is predicted in isolated areas of North Interior Karnataka, coastal regions, and South Interior Karnataka.
