To facilitate candidates appearing for the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examinations and to manage the anticipated increase in passenger traffic, Indian Railways has decided to operate Examination Special
Trains during the examination period. As part of this initiative, Train No. 08181/08182 Tatanagar – Rampur Bazar – Tatanagar Examination Special will be operated to provide additional travel accommodation for examination aspirants and other passengers.
Train No. 08181 Tatanagar – Rampur Bazar Examination Special will run daily at 19.30 Hours from Tatanagar from 3rd August to 6th August 2026 and 9th August to 14th August 2026, while Train No. 08182 Rampur Bazar – Tatanagar Examination Special will operate from Rampur Bazar at 10.00 Hours from 4th August to 7th August 2026 and 10th August to 15th August 2026. Each service will run for 10 trips, providing additional rail connectivity during the examination period.
The Examination Special train will comprise 16 coaches, offering enhanced accommodation for passengers. During its journey, the train will halt at Kharagpur Jn., Andul, Dankuni, Barddhaman Jn., Bolpur Shantiniketan, Rampur Hat, Pakur, New Farakka Jn., Malda Town, Eklakhi, Buniadpur and Gangarampur ensuring convenient connectivity for candidates travelling from different regions.
The operation of Examination Special Trains reflects Indian Railways' commitment to facilitating safe, convenient and hassle-free travel for examination aspirants while easing passenger congestion on regular train services.
