Due to the transparent and industry-friendly policies of Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra is attracting the highest foreign investment. The state government has implemented necessary reforms
to accelerate industrial development and is consistently making efforts to promote industrial growth, said Marketing and Protocol Minister, Jaykumar Rawal. He was speaking at a meeting with officials of the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
A delegation from the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry met Minister Jaykumar Rawal, who also serves as the President of the IMC Maharashtra Forum. The delegation included former President Mr. Sanjaya Mariwala, Deputy Director General Mr. Sanjay Mehta, Director Ms. Vanita Ghuge, and IMC members Mr.Ajit Panikar and Mr. Satish Shetty. From the government side, Mr. Avinash Solvat from the FDI, Outreach and Diaspora (Protocol) Department, Ms. Vijoo Sirsath, Joint Director of Industries, along with senior officials from the Industries, Marketing, and Protocol Departments were present.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on several important issues affecting the state’s industrial development. Strategic measures to strengthen Maharashtra’s industrial ecosystem were deliberated. The primary objective of the meeting was to enhance ease of doing business and improve communication between industry and the government.
In-depth discussions were also held on industrial development, the state’s marketing strategies, challenges faced by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, as well as opportunities in the agriculture and industrial sectors.
Key topics such as environmental clearances for CETP units, Industrial Township Authority (ITA), industrial buffer zone policy, digital integration of dues of the Industrial Development Corporation, and the Maharashtra Mathadi Act were also discussed.
Minister Jaykumar Rawal listened to the concerns of industry representatives and urged IMC to submit a detailed policy document. He assured that positive steps would be taken in coordination with the concerned departments to boost industrial growth.
Through this dialogue, cooperation between IMC and the state government is expected to strengthen further, and IMC expressed confidence that it will give momentum to sustainable industrial development in the state.
