Thane: A man and a woman sustained injuries when their motorbike was struck by a bus in Thane, on Monday morning. The bus, en route from Gandhinagar, Gujarat, to Bhiwandi in Thane, carried 30 passengers,
none of whom were injured. The event took place at approximately 7 am at the Nagla Bunder signal located on Ghodbunder Road.
The 28-year-old woman passenger incurred head injuries, while the 24-year-old male biker also experienced injuries. Both were taken to a nearby hospital, where their status was described as stable, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Pankaj Shirsat. The motorcycle riders are residents from Kandivali. The 40-year-old bus driver from Gandhinagar has been apprehended, and an inquiry into the accident is in progress.
