What is the story about?
Salt Scapes captures the mesmerising patterns formed by natural salt crystallisation on salt pans during summer months. Photographer Nishikant Mhatre documented these evolving abstract landscapes over
nearly three years of dedicated observation. His work has earned recognition from the Royal Photographic Society of London and the Federation of Indian Photography. Selected photographs are on display at Nehru Art Gallery, Worli, Mumbai, from 16 to 22 December 2025.
