Actor Salman Khan recently announced his new film, Battle of Galwan, following the failure of Sikandar. The film is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict between Indian and Chinese armed forces. The actor
has undergone a massive physical transformation; however, reportedly, the film, which was scheduled to begin shooting this month, has had its Mumbai schedule cancelled, and the set built at Mehboob Studios in Bandra in July is being dismantled.
Battle Of Galwan Mumbai Schedule Cancelled
According to a report in Mid-Day, an insider revealed that the shoot was postponed due to a creative decision, and the project is now scheduled to roll in Ladakh between August 22 and September 3. The report further stated that the makers want to start directly with the action scenes, and since Salman sports a distinct look, a 30-day gap between the Mumbai and Ladakh schedules would have disrupted continuity.
"Apoorva (Lakhia) felt that the sequences would need to be shot in succession. So, for now, the film’s Mumbai schedule is postponed indefinitely. They will take a call in the last leg whether a song sequence or patch work needs to be done in the city," added the report.

Salman Khan’s Battle Of Galwan: No Roadblock
Salman, who is set to portray Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu, was surrounded by rumours that the film had hit a roadblock with the Ministry of Defence due to its sensitive subject. However, a source denied these claims, clarifying that the Battle of Galwan celebrates a soldier’s bravery and does not villainise any country.
"The makers wouldn’t have announced the film without permissions in place," the source added, as quoted in Mid-Day.
