Central Railway organised the closing ceremony and award distribution function of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 at the Central Railway Auditorium, CSMT, on 31.10.2025.

Central Railway graced the occasion as Chief Guest, and Vijay Kumar, General Manager, Central Railway, was the Guest of Honour. Senior Officers and Staff members from various departments attended the function in large numbers.
The highlight of the event was the keynote address by the Chief Guest, Naresh Lalwani, Ex-General Manager, Central Railway, on the theme “सतर्कता: हमारी साझा जिम्मेदारी – Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” He elaborated on the crucial role of every railway employee in upholding honesty and accountability at all levels. The ceremony also featured an interactive session, screening of an award-winning short film, and a performance of an award-winning skit that effectively conveyed the message of vigilance and integrity.
Vijay Kumar, General Manager, Central Railway, also addressed the gathering, reiterating the importance of the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” He emphasized integrity, transparency, and accountability in public service, and outlined key initiatives such as capacity-building programs, the use of technology for vigilance clearance, and awareness drives. He encouraged all employees to embrace vigilance as a continuous, collective responsibility for strengthening ethical governance and organizational integrity.
The function commenced with the lighting of the lamp and the rendition of Saraswati Vandana, followed by a warm welcome address by Neeraj Kumar Dohare, Senior Deputy General Manager(SDGM), Central Railway. In his address, SDGM/CR emphasized this year’s theme—“Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” He highlighted ongoing vigilance initiatives, achievements such as preventive checks and recoveries, and urged every railway employee to adopt honesty and transparency as daily work ethics to build a corruption-free and ethical organization.
The dignitaries also unveiled ‘Subodh’ – The Vigilance Bulletin, and the Vigilant Official Awards were presented by the General Manager. Prizes were also distributed for various competitions held during Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, recognizing employees’ active participation and creative contributions.
During the week-long observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, various competitions such as essay writing, skit performances, debates, and drawing competitions were organized across all units of Central Railway on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”
The program aimed to promote the message of integrity and transparency among employees and the public alike.
