Central Railway registered impressive Freight Loading of 27.65 MT (million tonnes) in 10498 rakes during the period April to July 2026. This is against loading of 26.49 MT in 10055 rakes during the corresponding
period last year, marking an increase of more than 4 % in respect of tonnage. It also indicates increase of 443 rakes
Total Revenue earned through freight loading during the period amounted to Rs.2777.14 crores.
For the period - April to July 2026
Of the total loading of 27.65 MT, Nagpur division has contributed loading of 16.31 MT which is almost 59% followed by Mumbai division with loading of 6.80 MT which is more than 24%. Contribution by other divisions include loading of 2.34 MT (8 %) by Solapur division, 1.60 MT (6 %) by Bhusaval division and 0.61 MT (2 %) by Pune division.
Of the total revenue of Rs.2777.14 crores, the biggest contributor has been Nagpur division with revenue of Rs.1667.87 crores which is almost 60 % followed by Mumbai division with revenue of Rs.634.54 crores which is 23 %. Revenue from other divisions have been Rs.187.19 crores (7 %) by Bhusaval division, Rs.163.83 crores (6 %) by Solapur Division and Rs.123.72 crores (4 %) by Pune division.

CR achieved 2nd highest freight loading of 6.45 MT for July in the last 10 years
For the month of July-2026, Freight Loading stood at 6.45 MT (million tonnes) in 2446 rakes against loading of 6.07 MT in 2435 rakes during the same month last year indicating an increase of more than 6% in tonnage and 11 in number of rakes. The revenue earned in the month of July-2026 amounted to Rs.633.29 crores.

· Coal loading - 868 rakes in July 2026 against 637 rakes in July 2025
· Automobile loading – 71 rakes in July 2026 against 68 rakes in July 2025
· Iron Ore loading – 62 rakes in July 2026 against 41 rakes in July 2025
· Sugar loading – 41 rakes in July 2026 against 22 rakes in July 2025
· Foodgrains loading – 12 rakes in July 2026 against 4 rakes in July 2025
· Dolomite loading – 4 rakes in July 2026 against 1 rake in July 2025
