Governor of Rajasthan, Hari Bhau Bagde, held an insightful interaction on strengthening entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives in Rajasthan at Lok Bhavan.
The deliberations focused on building a vibrant
and inclusive startup and innovation ecosystem in the state, with emphasis on youth-led entrepreneurship, academic–industry collaboration, institutional mechanisms for innovation, and effective pathways for translating ideas and research into scalable enterprises. The Governor highlighted innovation as a key driver of economic growth, employment generation, and societal transformation.
On the occasion, the Governor formally released the book titled “Startup Theories, Examples and Activities”, authored by Umesh Rathod. The book bridges theory and practice by combining foundational startup frameworks with real-world examples and activity-based learning, serving as a practical resource for students, educators, and aspiring entrepreneurs to achieve Viksit Bharat 2047 the dream of Honourable PM Narendra Modi.
The author, is an seasoned educator, startup mentor, and three-time TEDx speaker with 1.5 decade of experience in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation across the globe. An alumnus of IIM Calcutta, he has mentored more than 4.75 lakh students through structured entrepreneurship programs and has worked with premier institutions including IITs and IIMs. He has also authored The Fun of Being in a Startup in 2017 released by Hon. Om Birla ji, Startup Chanakya in 2021, and Startup Theories, Examples & Activities in 2024, and is a recipient of several national & international wards for his contribution to education and innovation.
The book launch and discussions were attended by key ecosystem leaders, including Chintan Oza from Anantam Ecosystems, and Rajesh Mehta from Entry-India. Their presence added depth to the deliberations on startup enablement, market access, and ecosystem-led growth.
The interaction reaffirmed collective commitment to fostering innovation-led development through collaboration among government, academia, industry, and ecosystem enablers, with a shared vision of empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs.
