Konkan Railway has been conducting intensive and sustained ticket checking drives across its entire route with the objective of curbing ticketless and irregular travel, and ensuring safe, smooth, and comfortable
journeys for bonafide passengers.
During December 2025, KRCL organized 998 special ticket checking drives, during which 43,896 unauthorized and irregular travelers were detected. An amount of ₹2.45 crore was collected from these passengers towards due railway fare and penalties.
From January to December 2025, a cumulative total of 8,481 special ticket checking drives were conducted. These drives resulted in the detection of 3,68,901 cases of unauthorized/irregular travel, with a total recovery of ₹20.27 crore towards fare and penalties.
These special drives are being carried out in coordination with Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel and Railway officials, covering trains and stations across the Konkan Railway route.
Konkan Railway appeals to all passengers to travel with valid tickets to avoid any inconvenience and penal action. KRCL will continue to conduct intensified ticket checking drives across its entire route to ensure safe, orderly, and comfortable travel for all bonafide passengers.
