five per cent more salt than required. The intake suggested by WHO is less than five per cent. There is a need to know the impact of excessive salt eating and the benefits of eating the right amount, as per Ayurveda. Of course, Patanjali offers the right salt products.

Benefits of the Right Salt Consumption
Constipation: Due to its fire and water elements, it is warming and works to balance Vata Dosha. It also holds water and thus acts as a laxative. Vata Dosha leads to internal and external dryness and constipation. Salt, oils and fibre work well for the bowel. Patanjali Kala Namak (Black Salt) (100 Gms, 200 Gms and 1 Kg) has the right amount of sodium and a tiny amount of sulphur for healthy eating.
