Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager, Central Railway, proudly displayed all three awards, the Indian Railways - Cultural Competition Shield, the Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant Shield for overall efficiency, and the Kaul Gold Cup for being the best performing zone in sports.
The Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant Shield, awarded for overall efficiency among all railway zones (jointly with North Eastern Railway), was received by Dharam Veer Meena on 21st December 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This recognized the meritorious performance of Central Railway across the core competencies like Traffic Operations, Construction and other disciplines.
The Kaul Gold Cup, awarded to the best-performing railway zone in recognition of achievements across multiple sports disciplines, was secured by Central Railway with help of its sportspersons leading front and standing first amongst all the Zonal railways and production units.
In addition to the excellent overall performance, Central Railway individually won the IRCC Running Cultural Competition Shield for the very first time, emerging as the overall winner of the Inter Railway Cultural Competition held across various cultural pursuits. This landmark victory highlights the outstanding talent of artists from the Central Railway Cultural Academy across all divisions and workshops, who delivered stellar performances in various events, and their consistent nurturing and encouragement by officers led ably by General Manager Central railway Dharam Veer Meena and Principal Chief Commercial Manager Arvind Malkhede.
