Ludhiana: A video is raising dietary and safety concerns among the public and on social media from Ludhiana. It's about how a viral 'Flyover Pakora' stall is becoming a hotspot of unhygienic and disease-ridden
food hub. The video shows the vendor at the food stall dipping plastic pouches of oil directly into the already boiling oil, then pouring them in, followed by frying a large number of bread pakoras and serving them to the surrounding foodies. The video has sparked safety concerns on social media about the method being used by the vendor.
Netizens are slamming the vendor for dipping a plastic bag directly into the boiling oil, which could lead to melting some of the microplastic pieces into the oil that will later be used to fry the snacks eaten by the locals.
Unique way of pouring oil:
The video shows the vendor of a food stall popular for his unique style of pouring oil in the frying pan, instead of pouring it one by one he does it uniquely holding several bags in his hands, dipping it in the boiling water which breaks the seals of the pouches within seconds, and the oil empties in the pan on its own.
