Work from home appeal: Due to the ongoing West Asia conflicts, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently urged Indians to bring work-from-home arrangements,
online meetings, and reduced travel and other similar practices that were observed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Addressing a rally organised by the Telangana BJP in Hyderabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (May 10) said the country must prepare itself for the economic impact of international conflicts by cutting unnecessary fuel consumption and reducing dependence on imports. "We must prioritise work from home, online conferences, and virtual meetings again," he said. The Prime Minister linked the appeal directly to India's energy security concerns and rising global pressure on imported petroleum products. Pushing a similar request ahead, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday asked citizens to contribute by stepping forward with promptness. Here’s what he posted on X regarding the same, “In compliance with the call of the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, we must come forward with promptness.” Reduce fuel consumption...Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and other public representatives should use public transport one day a week. At the same time, a 'No Vehicle Day' should be organised one day a week. This campaign should also involve government employees, students of schools-colleges, and various sections of society.
CM Yogi today, May 14, participated in a program, ‘Defining 9 Years of Transformation’ organised by The Times of India in Lucknow. He reminded citizens of the appeal made by PM Modi regarding work from home. The CM said Prime Minister Modi has made an appeal; we should join it. Remember, if the country survives, we all survive.
