For the subsequent three days, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, south Rayalaseema, south coastal Andhra Pradesh and the Islands are expected to witness isolated to scattered rainfall activity.
Rainfall over Tamil Nadu and Kerala
The Met Office predicted widespread light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms across South India, with specific warnings for heavy rainfall in certain areas. According to the weather update, Tamil Nadu is expected to receive light to moderate rainfall at many places, along with isolated heavy rainfall, on November 7 and 8. Similar weather conditions are expected for Kerala and Mahe from November 8 to 10.
Additionally, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, and south interior Karnataka are likely to get rain at some places on November 7.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are also expected over Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Mahe, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
Mainly clear skies in Delhi
The IMD has predicted mainly clear skies for the national capital with the possibility of mist or shallow fog during the morning hours until Saturday. The minimum temperature is expected to remain between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius, while the maximum will hover between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius.
The recorded minimum temperature for Thursday was around 13°C, while the maximum was 27°C. According to the data on the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the average AQI at 9 am in Delhi was recorded in the very poor category at 309.
Forecast of temperature
Minimum temperatures will not change significantly in northwest India for five to six days, except in east Uttar Pradesh, where they will fall by 2-4°C in the next 24 hours.
Central India will see a 2-4 degree drop in minimum temperatures over the next 48 hours, followed by no significant change. East India will see no change for 24 hours, followed by a 2-3 degree drop over the next two days. West India will experience a 2-3 degree drop over the next 4-5 days, with Gujarat seeing a similar drop within the first three days.
