The facelifted Kiger competes with the Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Skoda
Kushaq, and its platform sibling Nissan Magnite.
The Kiger continues with two engine options – a 72hp, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit with 5-speed manual or AMT, and a 100hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol with 5-speed manual or CVT. Both engines are E20 fuel-ready, and Renault has not yet revealed prices for NA-AMT versions.
Exterior updates include redesigned front and rear bumpers, new grille with Renault’s updated logo, revised DRLs and fog lamps, C-pillar graphics, a smoked
reverse-light section, functional roof rails supporting up to 50kg, and 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. New paint choices include Oasis Yellow and Shadow Grey, in addition to Radiant Red, Caspian Blue, Ice Cool White, Moonlight Silver, and Stealth Black.
Inside, the layout remains familiar but with a new black and light-grey dashboard theme, better insulation with thicker carpets and padding, and leatherette ventilated seats on higher trims. All variants now come with six airbags, ESP, hill start assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring
system.
The range-topper adds a 360-degree camera, automatic lights and wipers, wireless charger, rear armrest with cupholders, and an 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Kiger now offers 21 standard safety features, up from 17 earlier, including ISOFIX mounts and three-point seatbelts for all passengers. It also gains a multi-view camera system, “Belongings Take Away” alert, and take-a-break reminder on top trims.
