The Bench of Justices Vikram Nath, Sandeep Mehta and NV Anjaria made the remarks after hearing the stray dogs case for four full days. The bench posted matter for next hearing on January 20.
Observing the rising number of cases of dog bites and lack of accountability, Justice Nath said, "For every dog bite, death or injury caused to children or elderly, we are likely going to fix heavy compensation by state, for not doing anything."
"Also, liability and accountability on those who are saying we are feedings dogs. Do it, take them to your house. Why should dogs be littering around, biting, scaring people?," he added.
