What is the story about?
Union Home Minister Amit Shah released the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) manifesto for the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026 in Kolkata on Friday, April 10.
Termed 'BJP's Sankalp Patra', the manifesto promises implementation of 7th pay commission, jobs and government's strict stance against infiltration.
If the BJP is brought to power, the government will adopt a "zero tolerance" policy against infiltration, the HM said. "The BJP government will 'detect, delete, deport' infiltrators from West Bengal," Shah said.
Shah added that the BJP government will implement Uniform Civil Code (UCC) within six months of coming to power.
