The Uttar Pradesh government has secured investment commitments worth ₹9,750 crore at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, marking
a major push to position the state as a future-ready investment destination.
The state’s delegation, led by Cabinet Minister for Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Suresh Kumar Khanna, signed multiple MoUs with a focus on strengthening global partnerships and attracting high-impact investments across emerging sectors. The engagements were coordinated by Invest UP, the state government’s investment promotion and facilitation agency.
The series of MoUs outlines a growing investment pipeline in clean energy, digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence and defence manufacturing. Among the key agreements was a ₹8,000 crore MoU with SAEL Industries Ltd. for waste-to-energy projects, aimed at supporting sustainable development. Sify Technologies signed an MoU worth ₹1,600 crore to develop an AI-ready data centre and an AI City in Noida, while Yeoman committed ₹150 crore towards defence manufacturing and weapons system integration.

According to the government, these partnerships align with Uttar Pradesh’s long-term vision of technology-enabled governance, sustainable growth and large-scale job creation, while improving the state’s global competitiveness.
The delegation also held a series of meetings with global and Indian companies, beginning with Louis Dreyfus Company. This was followed by business-to-government interactions with global companies, including Uber Technologies, Automation Anywhere, Cauldron, PepsiCo, HCL Software, Wealth Door, Anupam Rasayan India Ltd, Google Cloud, Greenko and Deloitte South Asia. Discussions were also held with Neeraj Agarwal, founder and CEO of Carbon Compass, to explore opportunities in climate innovation and sustainability.
A meeting with Uber focused on potential expanded investments, mobility partnerships and the possibility of setting up a Global Capability Centre in Noida. Uber highlighted opportunities in tourism, last-mile connectivity and innovative mobility solutions, supported by Uttar Pradesh’s policy framework.

Officials said the engagements at Davos highlighted opportunities in digital transformation, renewable energy, food processing, automation and global trade. The discussions also showcased Uttar Pradesh’s policy framework, infrastructure readiness and focus on innovation-led development.
Uttar Pradesh’s participation at WEF 2026 reflects its efforts to attract global investments and strengthen an innovation-driven economy. The discussions are expected to support long-term economic growth and more global engagement.
