Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, accompanied by ministers Nara Lokesh, TG Bharat, and senior officials, has arrived in Zurich to spearhead the four-day World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026. The delegation’s primary objective is to attract fresh global investments while strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s reputation as a business-friendly and policy-driven economy.
At Davos, the state is prioritising investments in green energy, green hydrogen, green ammonia, artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, and the biotechnology sectors, seen as critical to future economic resilience. These are supported by opportunities in tourism, hospitality, education, and healthcare, aimed at long-term, inclusive growth. The Chief Minister’s team is set to present Andhra Pradesh’s policy initiatives and governance reforms to national and international companies to underline ease of doing business.
A central element of Andhra Pradesh’s investment pitch is Amaravati’s Quantum Valley, developed within a business-friendly policy framework to support global investors, research institutions, and technology firms. As the hub for quantum research and deep tech in India, Quantum Valley aims to stimulate and advance the country's competitiveness in emerging technologies while simultaneously attracting high-value, long-term global innovation and investment partnerships.
In addition to creating the environment necessary to attract investors, Andhra Pradesh is also committed to preparing its talent. The state officials have identified a need for highly skilled employees to support the development of Quantum Valley, and as a part of this commitment, the state is actively training a minimum of 1 lakh professionals, with 50,000 already enrolled in the Quantum Skilling Program, as well as other AI-related talent development initiatives.
The Chief Minister is also highlighting the Kakinada green ammonia and green hydrogen plant, reinforcing Andhra Pradesh’s clean energy focus. Investors are being briefed on the Visakhapatnam Investment Summit and last year’s Davos outcomes, when the state secured ₹2.36 lakh crore in investments from 20 companies, a benchmark the government aims to exceed during the current engagement.
On the first day, the Chief Minister will attend seven engagements, including an interaction with the Telugu diaspora from 20 countries, and create a platform for Non-Resident Telugus (NRTs) to promote entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for themselves. He has also reiterated that a fund of ₹50 crore will be made available to support enterprises established by NRTs and that AP FIRST is an innovation and research platform that will create employment opportunities for the youth.
The delegation will also meet one of the largest global companies, such as IBM, Google Cloud, Maersk, and the JSW Group, promoting Andhra Pradesh as a hub for AI, deep tech, and the digital content economy, with outreach to firms including Eros Innovations. In parallel, the Chief Minister will engage in dedicated innovation sessions, such as “Vision to Velocity – Deploying Innovation at Scale” and “One Family – One Entrepreneur”, while also holding diplomatic engagements with India’s Ambassador to Switzerland, Mridul Kumar, to advance Swiss investments in the state.
With this strategic outreach, Andhra Pradesh is signalling its readiness to lead in technology, innovation, and sustainable growth, backed by policy reforms, future-ready infrastructure, and a strong talent pipeline. The WEF 2026 engagement marks a critical step in positioning the state among the world’s most competitive and credible investment destinations, as it deepens global partnerships and accelerates economic transformation.
