What is the story about?
Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani said the company has invested more than ₹3.5 lakh crore over the past five years and announced plans to double that commitment to ₹7 lakh crore over the next five years.
He called it an unprecedented scale of investment that reflects Reliance's long-term commitment to growth and development.
Speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat, Ambani said Reliance is building the world's largest integrated clean energy ecosystem at Jamnagar, adding that the city, once India's largest exporter of hydrocarbon energy, will now emerge as the country's biggest exporter of green energy and green materials from Gujarat.
He said that the company's multi gigawatt, utility scale solar project, among the largest globally, will provide round the clock clean power through advanced storage solutions and modern grid integration, strengthening India's green energy ambitions and reinforcing Gujarat's leadership in renewables.
He also said Reliance is developing India's largest AI ready data centre in Jamnagar, with the aim of making artificial intelligence affordable and accessible for every Indian.
Ambani added that Jio will soon launch a people first intelligence platform that is built in India, for India and for the world.
On sports infrastructure, Ambani said the Reliance Foundation is fully aligned with the Prime Minister's vision of bringing the 2036 Olympics to Ahmedabad. As a concrete step, Reliance will partner with the Gujarat government to manage the Veer Savarkar Multi Sports Complex in Naranpura, which will serve as a hub for national and international sporting events and for training India's future champions.
Referring to global developments, Ambani said the world is changing rapidly and geopolitical tensions are creating new challenges and unexpected turbulence.
He added that India remains insulated from these pressures because of what he described as an invincible protective wall under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Calling this India's defining decade, Ambani said the country is not just preparing for the future under the Prime Minister's leadership but actively shaping it.
