Uber Black currently operates in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. The service offers high-end vehicles driven by top-rated drivers and is positioned as a premium, business-class experience for riders seeking comfort and dependable service. Uber said it will continue to focus on quality while scaling the offering across key markets.
The company has also set up dedicated Uber Black Zones at airports to support premium pickups. These zones operate at Bengaluru Airport (BLR) at Terminals 1 and 2, and at Mumbai Airport (CSMIA) at Terminal 2, P6, and are designed to enable quicker, seamless access to luxury rides.
To support the planned expansion, Uber announced a Series A investment in Carrum, a fleet management company backed by the CarDekho Group. Uber said the investment will help Carrum expand its fleet and scale operations as a key supply partner for Uber Black.
Uber has also rolled out the Reserve feature for Uber Black in Delhi. The feature allows riders to pre-book premium rides from two hours up to 90 days in advance, offering greater certainty for planned travel.
Prabhjeet Singh, President, Uber India and South Asia, said, “We’re witnessing strong demand for premium mobility in India, driven by riders who value comfort and elevated service standards. Our focus is on continuing to raise the bar on quality and service, while building a platform that delivers value for riders, drivers and fleet partners over the long term.”
Separately, Uber said its membership programme, Uber One, has crossed one million users in India. The programme offers savings and benefits across bikes, autos and cars, and is aimed at frequent riders who use Uber regularly across multiple mobility options.
