According to the official advisory, the traffic curbs will be in place from 4 pm to 6 pm in and around Vijay Chowk.
During the restriction period, Vijay Chowk will remain closed to general traffic. No vehicular movement will be permitted on Raisina Road from the Krishi Bhawan roundabout towards Vijay Chowk.
Traffic will also be restricted beyond the Dara Shikoh Road roundabout, Krishna Menon Marg roundabout, and Sunehri Masjid roundabout leading towards Vijay Chowk.
In addition, Kartavya Path, from Vijay Chowk to Rafi Marg up to the Kartavya Path Crossing, will remain closed to traffic.
Alternate routes suggested
Commuters have been advised to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes, including:
- Ring Road
- Ridge Road
- Aurobindo Marg
- Madarsa T-Point
- Safdarjung Road via Kamal Ataturk Marg
- Rani Jhansi Road
- Minto Road
The Delhi Traffic Police urged motorists to avoid the affected stretches, follow traffic rules, and comply with directions issued by traffic personnel on duty during the restriction period.
