What is the story about?
Who would have thought that driving cabs could lead one to earn ₹2 lakh a month? A Mumbai-based cab driver has become an internet sensation after revealing how much he earns per month by running his own small fleet of vehicles.
His story came to light after Bengaluru-based Canadian content creator Caleb Friesen shared it on social media.
The content creator recorded the entire conversation with the driver and later posted it on X (formerly Twitter). “Asked a cab driver how much he earns. He told me ₹2 lakh. Then, he explained how he makes so much. The answer he gave genuinely gave me goosebumps,” the caption of the post read.
Their conversation began when Friesan casually asked the driver about his monthly income, expecting the usual answer. Instead, the driver revealed that he earns around ₹2 lakh every month and explained how he built his business over time. He told the creator that he started out with a single car and then gradually expanded by purchasing more cars. He shared that he allows other drivers to operate these vehicles while sharing the earnings with them.

Explaining his approach to business, the cab driver shared, “Suppose Reliance, they have to start their own business from a small loan. They have not started from one to two crores.” When Friesen questions the cab driver if he thinks business is risky, he said, “No, it's not risky to start own business. You have to take a risk in your life. Otherwise, you work for someone else in the hand only. After 60, no one should be giving you a job.” The driver’s only mantra is life is: “If you are not successful now, please don't give up.”
He also explained how he earns ₹2 lakh in a month. The driver shared that a vehicle can generate around ₹5,000 in daily revenue. After covering expenses such as fuel and other costs, the remaining earnings are divided. He added that while his monthly profit is close to ₹2 lakh, a large portion is currently used to pay vehicle loans and EMIs.
Amused by the cab driver, one user said, “Wow! What a wonderful real-life motivational video to watch on a Monday morning. I just saw it, and it's truly inspiring. I especially loved how casually he said at the end, "Build your own label." Thanks for sharing this wonderful video.”

Another individual said, “That was such an uplifting story, bro. Thanks for sharing.”
