India’s automobile industry continued its growth trend in November 2025, with sales across major segments rising year-on-year, according to monthly data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
Passenger vehicle dispatches from companies to dealers increased 19% year-on-year in November as demand remained robust post the festive period, SIAM said.
Total production of passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers reached 29,43,456 units, up from 24,07,351 a year earlier.
Domestic passenger vehicle (PV) sales stood at 4,12,405 units, the highest ever for November, rising 18.7% over the 3,47,522 units recorded in November 2024.
Two-wheeler sales stood at 19,44,475 units, and three-wheelers at 71,999 units. PV sales grew 18.7%, two-wheelers 21.2%, and three-wheelers 21.3% over November 2024.
SIAM Director General Rajesh Menon said, “Following the festive demand and support from the Government’s progressive GST 2.0 reforms, the Indian Auto Industry continued with the sales momentum in November 2025.”
He added that passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers marked the highest-ever November sales in 2025. “Industry is optimistic that the continued supportive policy reforms and improved market sentiments would continue this growth trajectory well into 2026.”

Two-wheeler manufacturers recorded strong month-on-month and year-on-year growth, with dispatches rising 21% to 19,44,475 units, up from 16,04,749 units a year earlier.
Scooter sales rose 29% year-on-year to 7,35,753 units, compared with 5,68,580 units in November 2024. Motorcycle dispatches increased 17.5% to 11,63,751 units, up from 9,90,246 units in the year-ago period. Moped sales declined 2% to 44,971 units, compared with 45,923 units in November 2024.

Company-wise data show strong domestic sales across automakers:
- Maruti Suzuki India Ltd: 1,12,612 units of passenger cars and 29,807 units of utility vehicles, along with 13,200 vans. In terms of dispatches to dealers, Maruti Suzuki shipped 1,70,971 units, up 21% from 1,41,312 units a year earlier.
- Kia India Pvt Ltd: 12,595 utility vehicles, primarily the Sonet and Seltos.
- Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd: 25,561 utility vehicles (Bolero, Thar, XUV line-up) and 13,200 vans. Dealer dispatches totalled 56,336 units, representing a 22% increase from 46,222 units in November 2024.
- Hyundai Motor India: Dealer billing of 50,340 units, up 4% compared with 48,246 units in the year-ago period.
- Toyota Kirloskar Motor: 30,066 units across segments, including Innova, Hycross, and Camry.
- Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd: 3,342 units, comprising Taigun, Virtus and other models.
- Nissan Motor India: 1,908 units, driven by the Magnite.
- Renault India: 3,215 units, led by Kiger and Triber.

- Ather Energy: 23,714 electric scooters, sharply higher year-on-year.
- Yamaha Motor India: 27,471 scooters and 24,430 motorcycles.
- Suzuki Motorcycle India: 783 motorcycles and 2,640 scooters.

Three-wheeler sales rose 21% year-on-year to 71,999 units, led by:
- Bajaj Auto: 45,006 units, the largest contributor.
- Mahindra & Mahindra: 8,568 units across passenger and cargo categories.
- Piaggio Vehicles: 8,895 units.
- TVS Motor Company: 5,585 units.
- Atul Auto: 2,802 units.
