In 2025, Shardiya Navratri is expected to commence on October 3 and continue until October 12. According to Drik Panchang, the Pratiapda Tithi of Ashwin Shukla Paksha will start on September 22, 2025, and is likely to conclude on September 23, 2025. The first day of Navratri is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Shailputri. The word 'Shail' from Sanskrit, means mountain, so Shailputri refers to the daughter of the mountain, highlighting the connection to divine power and the sacredness of the occasion.
