Summit 2026 on April 6th at the IIT Delhi Research & Innovation Park. This significant gathering served as a nexus for discussions aimed at propelling India's defence technological prowess. Lieutenant General Vivek Dogra, the Indian Army's Signal Officer-in-Chief and Senior Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals, graced the occasion as the chief guest and delivered the keynote address. His address prominently highlighted the indispensable contribution of India's burgeoning 'startup' ecosystem. He emphasized how these agile entities are instrumental in fortifying the nation's defence capabilities across critical domains such as communications, cybersecurity, electronic warfare, and unmanned aerial systems (C UAS), as well as advancing secure and resilient military networks for modern defence operations.

ASMKI as Industry Voice
The Association of Small and Medium Knowledge Industries (ASMKI) operates as a vital not-for-profit society registered under the Societies Act, serving as the collective voice for Indian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) within key knowledge-intensive sectors. These sectors include electronics, software development, defence and security technologies, biotechnology, healthcare, and clean technologies. ASMKI actively formulates and presents recommendations to the government, advocating for the creation of a supportive ecosystem conducive to the growth of knowledge-based industries. A particular emphasis is placed on supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and startups. Notably, the Government of India has a track record of accepting numerous recommendations put forth by ASMKI, reflecting its influence and the validity of its proposals. The organization consistently addresses issues that have a broad impact on the industry at large, striving to foster a more robust and competitive landscape.
