Dupont Circle is both a destination for tourists and a home for many of the city’s well-to-do residents. The popular dining nexus is also stacked with plenty of lunchtime staples and fast-casual standards like Chinese Korean favorite Chiko, pizza pioneer
Pizzeria Paradiso, the original locale of beloved British pub Duke’s Grocery, Neighborhood Restaurant Group’s historic Iron Gate, and notable chains like Dog Haus, Boqueria, Surfside, and Eggholic. There are also plenty of convivial bars (Golden Age, McClellan’s Retreat, thePress Club, and the Admiral, to name a few). And one Dupont newcomer to watch is the recent resurrection of the Riggsby, the elegant American restaurant from chef Michael Schlow.
For this latest neighborhood refresh, we’ve added Mediterranean-chic Casamara, go-to brunch spot Syn, and Filipino standout Kayu. And for now, we’ve removed Lyle’s, Le DeSales, and Boogy & Peel.
