The sceney impresarios behind Los Angeles company the H.Wood Group are making their first mark on New York City this fall. They’re opening a spinoff of their modern supper club restaurant, Delilah, with Lady Delilah in Chelsea at 353 W. 14th Street, near
Ninth Avenue on Tuesday, November 3.
Out in Los Angeles, the H.Wood Group runs flashy spots known for its no-photos policy and attracting celebrities such as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, and Drake. Co-founders John Terzian and Brian Toll opened Delilah in 2016, followed by locations in Las Vegas, Miami, and Dallas. They also ran Delilah as a summer residency out on Montauk.
Back in New York, Lady Delilah’s 10,000-square-foot subterranean space takes on an Art Deco feel, with an archway entrance with white tiles mimicking New York City subways, along with vintage oak details, plush seating, chandeliers, and tiled vaulted ceilings. There’s the main dining room with space for live music and performances, along with two private dining rooms. And yes, it’ll uphold that policy of not letting people take photos.
“Our vision was to design a space that celebrates the theatrical romance of the past, where eating, drinking and dancing come together effortlessly,” Terzian and Toll write in the press release.
H.Wood’s culinary director, chef Michael Teich, is overseeing the menu, which will lean modern American bistro. The bar will serve cocktails, spirits, and fancy bottle service.
Lady Delilah’s hours start at 5 p.m. and run until late, Tuesday through Sunday; book reservations on OpenTable.
