As summer comes racing to an end (ideally Southern California’s blisteringly hot weather will do the same), Los Angeles has an exciting roster of new restaurants entering the city this fall. This lineup feels like a welcome sight, especially during a challenging
year when longtime favorites continue to close. Starting in mid-September, Los Angeles will welcome a stunning new restaurant inside a nearly 100-year-old Silver Lake church, one within the staggeringly futuristic Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, and a cocktail bar above the ultra-popular Daisy in Sherman Oaks.
Sous Sous — Silver Lake
Projected opening: September 11
Major players: Chef Patrick Costa, Lee Zaremba, Casetta Hotels
In collaboration with Casetta Hotels, the De La Nonna crew will open Sous Sous on September 11, 2026. Sous Sous starts with Southern French cooking as its foundation while combining the traditions of Southern California and the American South. Sous Sous lives inside the newly renovated and historic church that is now Hotel Lucile, which was originally built in 1931. The restaurant will finally debut on Sunday, September 12.
Skywalker Grill — Exposition Park
Projected opening: September 22
Major players: George Lucas, Mellody Hobson, chef Daniel Guillen
George Lucas’s long-awaited Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is almost here; along with the museum’s opening, its restaurant, Skywalker Grill, will begin service on September 22. Daniel Guillen, formerly chef de cuisine at the InterContinental and Hotel Bel-Air, will serve a contemporary American menu inspired by Skywalker Ranch with dishes such as chicken Milanese, a wagyu burger, and pastas made in house. Reservations for Skywalker Grill are already available on Resy.
Gilbert Perez Bar — Sherman Oaks
Projected opening: October 8
Major players: Chef Alan Sanz, Max Reis, Matt Egan
Chef Alan Sanz, beverage director Max Reis, and partner Matt Egan partnered to open Gilbert Perez Bar, which sits directly above the popular Daisy Margarita Bar. The team took inspiration from the legend behind Filipino Spanish soldier Gil Pérez, who was allegedly sucked into a portal and transported to Mexico City in 1593. In essence, they’ll blend tiki cocktail culture with a Mexican rum bar and will open on October 8 with a strict no-photography policy.
Kozo Los Angeles — Sunset Strip

A newcomer who made a significant splash in Ghana and Rwanda will debut his Afro-Asian restaurant Kozo Los Angeles this October on the Sunset Strip. Ghanaian entrepreneur Ramzi Yamusah recruited chef Sakorn Somboon to introduce Los Angeles to kimchi jollof rice, berbere wagyu, and a charred egusi cauliflower. Longtime Los Angeles barman Julian Cox will lead Embār, a cocktail bar within the restaurant, and blend African botanicals and ferments with Japanese ingredients.
Lodge Bread Company — Pasadena
Projected opening: Early November

Lodge Bread’s fourth location will come to Pasadena in early November. The new Lodge will take up the space next to Homestate and Kismet right on the border of Altadena on Lincoln Avenue. Lodge Pasadena will feel expansive, clocking in at 3,000 square feet with 75 indoor and patio seats. The menu will feature all of the Lodge Bread’s hits with baked goods, behemoth cinnamon rolls, sandwiches, shakshuka, salads, and freshly made breads. The restaurant will also share a portion of the space with another forthcoming restaurant, Full Proof Pizza Company, which opens in January.
Heisei — Culver City
Projected opening: October 2
Major players: Chef Chris Ono
After working at Citrin, Providence, Eleven Madison Park, and Yojimbo, chef Chris Ono will open Heisei, his first independent restaurant in Culver City. The new restaurant will open on October 2, mere blocks away from longtime Culver icon Tito’s Tacos. The name Heisei hails from Japan’s “peaceful” era from 1989 to 2019; Ono will prepare Los Angeles Nikkei cuisine from this era. Ono, a Culver City native, previously expressed his roots as a fourth-generation Japanese-American chef at a limited-run pop-up at Little Tokyo’s Japanese American Cultural and Community Center.
La Morocha — Arts District

In a very busy 2026, the Mírate and Daisy Margarita team will introduce Ensenada’s notable restaurant, La Morocha, to the Arts District in October. Chef David Castro Hussong (Fauna in Valle de Guadalupe, Eleven Madison Park) developed a menu that explores the region and synchronicities between California and Baja California.
Spacca Tutto — Pacific Palisades

Major players: Nancy Silverton, Mozza Restaurant Group, New School Hospitality
Nancy Silverton will bring Spacca Tutto, an Italian American steakhouse, to Rick Caruso’s Palisades Village this fall, which has seen a flurry of recent openings that include K Bakery and Alphabet Bar and Grill. The menu will draw inspiration from Silverton’s Chi Spacca, serving a steak-focused slate complemented by shrimp cocktail, steak tartare, crab Louie, and chicken pot pie. Cocktails including martinis and spritzes will be available, along with wine.
Bar Fortuna — Santa Monica

Crudo e Nudo chef Brian Bornemann will open Bar Fortuna this fall, a California-Italian wine bar in Santa Monica. Expect plenty of pastas, produce from the chef-hangout Santa Monica farmers market, an extensive lineup of California and Italian wines, and an expansive cocktail menu.
The Supper Club — Beverly Hills

Major players: Chef Mattia Agazzi, Ken Fulk, Alex Le Roux, Dorchester Collection
The Dorchester Collection hotel group will open a new supper club with Mattia Agazzi, the former chef of Beverly Hills’ Gucci Osteria, inside the Beverly Hills Hotel. The 94-seat music venue and restaurant is part of a 10-year project with interior designer Ken Fulk and music curator Alex Le Roux, infusing a ritzy new nightlife destination inside the storied property. Named the Supper Club, it joins the property’s most extensive renovation since the 1940s, and plans to open in December.
Henri’s — Sherman Oaks

Major players: Jonah Freedman, Josh Migdal
After opening Sherman Oaks’ nearly 40-year-old French bistro restaurant, Mistral, in 2026, Jonah Freedman (Freedman’s and Greekman’s) and Josh Migdal will open Henri’s, a raw bar directly next door to Mistral. Henri’s, named for Mistral’s original owner, Henri Abergel, will feature seafood-centric dishes, cocktails, and wine.
The restaurants at Public — West Hollywood
Projected opening: 2026
Major players: Ian Schrager, chef Miles Shorrey, Lucy Cogswell-Stewart, Shelley Armistead, Jess Arndt, and Nicky Pickup
Studio 54 co-founder and hotelier Ian Schrager will open his sleek hotel brand, Public, in West Hollywood this fall — and with it, three new dining destinations, a pool bar, a nightclub, and a roof deck with a 30-foot movie screen. Schrager developed these in collaboration with a superstar lineup of restaurant veterans alongside Shelley Armistead, former CEO and partner of Gjelina Group, and Nicky Pickup, former head of Gjusta Bakery. Former Pijja Palace head chef Miles Shorey and former director of operations for the Gjelina Group, Lucy Cogswell-Stewart, will join the operating team; Jess Arndt will lead the beverage program. This will be the second outpost for the Public Hotel brand, which first opened on New York’s Lower East Side in 2017.
