The Eater 38 is a tapestry of Minneapolis and St. Paul’s essential restaurants, comprising many cuisines, neighborhoods, and prices. This map is updated biannually to include cornerstone restaurants of Twin Cities cuisine, from long-established spots
to newcomers that have proven themselves for a minimum of six months. The Eater 38 spans the Cities’ restaurant scene in all its vibrancy, from fragrant pho in Frogtown to bison tartare in the North Loop.
New this update: We added Animales Barbecue, Bûcheron, Razava Bread Co., and Vinai, and removed Ono Hawaiian Plates and Owamni as they open their much-anticipated new locations. We’ve also removed Petite León, which closed on December 31, 2025, and Sun Street Breads, which closed on March 22, 2026.
