After months of delays, prolific French chef Daniel Boulud is finally ready to cook again across from Lincoln Center in a big way. Brasserie Boulud — a consolidation of his closed Upper West Side restaurants (Bar Boulud,Boulud Sud, and Épicerie Boulud )
into one massive 10,000-square-foot flagship — will debut on Thursday, October 8.
Boulud’s UWS comeback at 900 Broadway, at Lincoln Plaza, is looking to be a hot one: Reservations that just went live on Resy today are already booked up well into October.
The classically French-leaning Brasserie Boulud features the greatest hits from each dearly missed restaurant across one combined menu. Expect seafood towers, French onion soup, steak frites, lobster souffle, and boudin blanc, along with the return of Boulud’s cult-favorite DB Burger. Odes to the chef’s French countryside upbringing right outside of Lyon include everything from pates by acclaimed charcuterie house Maison Vérot to wines from Burgundy and the Rhône regions.
Pre- and post-theater menus will return, too; the debut coincides with the annual New York Film Festival that’s currently underway at Lincoln Center through Monday, October 12. Mornings will bring coffee and croissants to enjoy at the restaurant or to go.
Two-story Brasserie Boulud, designed by Rockwell Group, features a large central bar, private dining rooms, and a tucked-away speakeasy where cocktails are served well into the night.
The brasserie builds upon Boulud’s remodeled look in NYC as of late, starting with French steakhouse La Tête d’Or in fall 2024, and before that, the relocated Cafe Boulud.
