SOMA — Mission Creek Park gained a brand new coffee shop at its pavilion, thanks to
Zocalo Coffee. In a press release, San Francisco Recreation & Parks shares that in addition to a coffee program, the cafe will have “sandwiches, salads, and their signature dishes such as lasagna and quiche,” which should make for a nice reward after a stroll through the park. Eventually, diners will also be able to relax with wine and beer once the liquor license comes through. 290 Channel Street, San Francisco
NOB HILL — Indian coffee shop Le Mil’s opens on Saturday, August 15, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Fans know them from their pop-up at the Newark Farmers Market, but now they have a permanent space on Polk Street, slinging pour-overs, drip coffee, lattes, and chicory coffee. Anand Upender of York Street Collective also developed some new offerings for the new shop, including a drink featuring cascara, kokum, and hibiscus with tonic, all topped with salted coconut cream, per the Chronicle. 1330 Polk Street, San Francisco
SAN ANSELMO — Modern Vietnamese restaurant Tụ Tập opened on Wednesday, July 29, with longtime Slanted Door alum Justine Kelly leading the kitchen, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. But as Kelly told the newspaper, this isn’t meant to be a redux of that restaurant, with plates of shaking beef; instead, diners can expect dishes like kampachi collar marinated in turmeric, garlic, and fish sauce, and lemongrass chicken. 625 San Anselmo Avenue, San Anselmo
