Thanks to the efforts of institutions like Georgia State University and a variety of local urban planning and preservation organizations, downtown Atlanta has experienced a revitalization over the last decade. Phase One of the revitalization in South Downtown and along historic Hotel Row wrapped up over the summer, while revitalization continues at Underground Atlanta. This means that there are plenty of new (and old) restaurants in the area worth trying.

This latest update by Stephanie Carter includes the addition of Poor Calvin’s, which connects Asian and Southern flavors, and Breakfast at Barney’s, offering highly popular morning meals. The restaurants are listed geographically from south to north.
