Michelin updated its California guide again in June 2026, doling out a fresh round of stars at a ceremony held at the event venue Eve in San Diego. Three new Bay Area restaurants earned their place on the list, with Naides, Troubadour, and Wolfsbane all
earning a one-star designation. Meanwhile, two restaurants made the jump to the hallowed three-star status. Sonoma’s Enclos earned its three stars within two years of its opening. Over in San Francisco, chef Val M. Cantú’s Californios was also crowned with three stars, making it the first Mexican restaurant in the world to earn that distinction. With the latest ceremony, the San Francisco Bay Area has stars awarded to 47 restaurants, with the highest concentration of three-star restaurants, and ten Green Star designations for “outstanding eco-friendly commitments.”
If you’re the type for resolutions or bucket lists involving restaurants, consider this map your signal to add some Michelin-starred pep to your meals. While this isn’t meant to be a completionist task, the guide is literally run by a tire company, so its real goal (besides selling tires) is to get you out on the road and exploring new-to-you places. So to discover the stars closest to you, or devise your driving and dining itinerary, here’s exactly where those Michelin stars are shining across the greater Bay Area, stretching from the Mendocino coastl to Carmel.
