New York City actually doesn’t have its own proper football stadium. That honor goes to East Rutherford, New Jersey, which is home to MetLife Stadium, where our football teams, the New York Jets and the New York Giants, play. It’s also been home to major concerts (Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar) and other sporting events, like the forthcoming World Cup 2026. (It’s actually being “renamed” the New York New Jersey Stadium for the tournament.)
For dining, MetLife’s stadium concessions are par for the course: lots of chicken tenders, hot dogs, loaded fries, sandwiches, burgers, etc. Highlights include:
Fuku
Section 330
David Chang’s fried chicken sandwich chain has that sandwich, chicken fingers, and fries.
Global Pies
Sections 108, 211, 214,
241
Empanadas make for the ideal event snack.
Nonna Fusco’s Kitchen
Sections 118, 215, 239
Hopewell, New Jersey pasta shop Lo Ré runs this Italian stadium restaurant, where you can find pasta if that’s your thing, but also meatball and chicken cutlet sandwiches.
