The concept of a cheeseburger seems quite simple — meat and cheese on a bun. But in Space City, this holy union takes on many divine forms. Here, diners can find prized old-school institutions serving up classic smash burgers with charred edges and the perfect amount of grease, alongside newer establishments offering endless combinations of unique sauces, buns, and international flavors.
Use this map to guide you to the city’s top spots for burgers, ranging from retro neighborhood favorites to buzzy newcomers. Eater has updated this map to include Boo’s Burgers, Toasted Coconut, and Doko. Riel has been removed and Bar Bludorn, Remi, Balboa Surf Club, Eunice, Rado Market, and Le Jardinier have been rotated out.
