BEAUMONT-WILSHIRE — Portland added a new name to its food cart pod portfolio on Friday, May 22, with Fremont Garage, a community dining and gathering space along Northeast Fremont. Once fully up and running (some carts are still getting settled), the pod will host eight different food carts. Some of the debut carts include Rayal Indian Cuisine and Wolf’s Head Burgers & Malts. The pod also features a full bar with beer, cocktails, and mocktails, plus indoor and outdoor setting. The pod’s name is an homage to the site’s history as an old auto shop. 4403 NE Fremont Street
OVERLOOK — Specialty shop Prince Coffee opened its newest location in the Overlook neighborhood in mid-May, bringing its signature beverages, natural wine selection, and sleek
design to the Northwest quadrant. The menu mirrors that of other locations, with teas, lattes, brewed coffees, and breakfast sandwiches by day and aperitivo hour snacks (think potato chip towers layered with prosciutto) and wine in the evening. 1936 N Killingsworth Street
WOODLAWN — Tiny Giants Brewing, the newest venture from craft brewing pro Steve Beaudoin (formerly of Fracture Brewing), opened the doors to its new taproom in the Woodlawn area on Saturday, April 25. The brewery has been in production since June 2025, but this marks its first public space. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, colorful murals, and a tap list featuring brews like the Wolf Hologram West Coast IPA and guest pours. Tamale Boy, Ranch Pizza, and Lil’ Barbecue are all steps away for grub options. 6719 NE 18th Avenue.
ST. JOHNS — The former home of Gracie’s Apizza, which shut its doors on Saturday, April 25, already has its newest occupant in Harmonies Pizza & Ice Cream. Will Fain of Handsome Pizza and Seastar Bakery is at the helm of the new wood-fired pizza joint, which opened its doors Thursday, May 21. Expect classics like cheese, pepperoni, margherita, and white pizzas, plus weekly specials and a holdover from the space’s former host, the Gracie’s Tomato Pie. A salad and marinated olives are on deck as apps, with homemade ice cream to round out the meal. 7304 N Leavitt Avenue
HOSFORD-ABERNETHY — Barely two months after closing the doors on cocktail and dessert spot Libre, Nan Chaison of Norah and Mestizo is back up to bat with a new opening in the old Libre space: Ring Ding Ding. This queer-friendly, Thai-influenced bar opened on Friday, May 8, with colorful, creative cocktails featuring flavors like pandan and lychee, and equally playful decor and lighting to match. Guest chefs will helm a rotating food program, with Jahquari Greene kicking things off with his Trinidadian and Panamanian pop-up, the Mad Man. 2601 SE Clinton Street
NORTH TABOR — As of Tuesday, May 5, the folks behind Trela Greek Kitchen are expanding with a new Greek street food eatery set right next door to the main restaurant. Aptly named Greek Street, it’s a spot for faster, casual lunch fare like gyros, Greek salads, lamb burgers, and mezze platters. There’s also indoor and outdoor seating. 6010 NE Glisan Street
HOLLYWOOD — The neighborhood welcomes a new culinary hub with the Hollywood Q Food Hall. Spotlight Brewing Company will be slinging a small selection of craft beers, and the food hall has a far-reaching range of options: Venezuelan street food from La Arepa, sushi from Sushi Chiyo, Mexican from Poblano Pepper, and kebabs plus other Mediterranean classics from Cappadocia, to name a few. The food hall is already serving, with a grand opening planned for Saturday, May 30. 4035 NE Sandy Boulevard
