We all live in bodies, the workings of which we will never fully comprehend. Mine, however, is a fascinating variation. Each body part comes with its own ON/OFF button,” Hrithik wrote.
What happens in a knee pain?
A pain in the knee can lead to discomfort you may feel in or around your knee joint. Joints are places in your body where two bones meet. Your knee joint connects your thigh to your lower leg, where your thigh bone meets your shin bone. The knee is the biggest joint in your body, and it absorbs and supports a lot of your weight as you move. That is why it is one of the most commonly injured joints. Knee joint pain can be a temporary, short-term problem, but it can also be a chronic issue.
What causes knee pain?
The most common causes of knee pain include:
Arthritis
It is a very common issue, and can have various types, the most usual one being osteoarthritis.
Injuries
Any injury that damages your knee joint causes pain, such as sprains, hyperextensions, and meniscus tears.
Overuse
Too much usage of your knees may hurt if you work on your hands and knees or run and jump a lot. Doing the same motion too often can lead to repetitive strain injuries and knee joint pain. Lots of other issues can also lead to knee pain – and can be hard to narrow down a cause on your own. Where your knee hurts can be a good sign of what’s causing it.

Treatments for knee pain
If you suffer from consistent knee pain, see a doctor, who will suggest various kinds of treatment to treat knee pain based on its cause and how much it hurts. A few of these include:
The RICE OR MEAT methods
These include simple, at-home ways to manage pain.
Medications
The doctor may suggest medications that relieve your knee joint pain and other symptoms, such as taking NSAIDs or acetaminophen.
Physical therapy
Therapy helps strengthen the muscles around your knee to support it better. Increasing your strength and flexibility will reduce pressure on your joints and can reduce pain.
Wearing a knee brace
A knee brace supports your knee, providing the right kind of alignment.
Knee surgery
It is probably the last resort where doctors do a knee replacement if you have arthritis that causes severe pain that doesn’t get better after trying other treatments.
