Janhvi Kapoor breathes life into Masaba’s vision with an array of eye-catching outfits from her latest bridal collection.
Janhvi Kapoor, in Masaba Gupta’s
latest bridal collection has embodied the spirit of a modern Indian bride. The designer’s latest collection, titled Sabr Shukr Sukoon, redefines traditional wedding couture and showcases how a bride can have a bold, introspective edge.
Unveiled by House of Masaba, the latest collection pays homage to the evolving identity of Indian brides. As today’s women are no longer bound by conventions and instead celebrate their individuality with pride, Masaba’s latest collection is an ode to that. In fact, she has managed to catch everyone’s attention by getting Janhvi Kapoor as her muse for a striking campaign video. And adding to the excitement, Janhvi has certainly left everyone stunned in a series of transformative bridal avatars, from fierce to gentle, and traditional yet rebellious. Each of her looks narrates a different facet of womanhood.
As per the designer, at the heart of Sabr Shukr Sukoon, lies her vision of the 2025 bride. “She can be coy, brave, shy or rebellious. The only thing she needs to be is herself,” says Masaba. The name itself—Sabr (patience), Shukr (gratitude), and Sukoon (peace)—captures a deeply personal philosophy for the designer, and she has woven seamlessly into each piece of the collection.
Janhvi Kapoor’s array of eye-catching ensembles, as per Masaba’s vision, are eclectic. The actress is seen wearing a deep rust-brown lehenga radiating earthy opulence, apart from a sindoori red outfit paired with a dramatic headdress, which evokes regal nostalgia.
For another look, Janhvi wore an ivory lehenga that is the essence of a non-conformist bride. Another show-stopping piece includes a shimmering gold dhori skirt and blouse, which is amped up by the brand’s signature Sabr Shukr armbandh displaying inner strength.
Be it opulent zardozi, intricate gota patti embroidery, cascading tassels or sequins, Masaba's hallmark design and craftsmanship is captured in each design. Styled with bold gold jewellery, dewy makeup, and traditional floral hair arrangements, Janhvi’s looks offer a fine balance between heritage and modern flair.
In her note on the collection, Masaba shares how modern womanhood is reshaping bridal fashion. “Women today are making braver choices—not just in love, but in life. This collection mirrors that spirit,” she wrote.
To say the least, Sabr Shukr Sukoon isn’t merely a bridal collection but is a celebration of a woman who dares to write her own narrative.
