What's Happening?
Big Loud Records has announced the appointment of Stacy Blythe and Jordan Pettit as co-presidents, marking a significant leadership change aimed at driving the label's global ambitions. Blythe, who has been with Big Loud since 2015 and previously served as executive vice president of promotion, will transition immediately into her new role. Pettit, joining from Opry Entertainment Group where he was vice president of artist and industry relations, will assume his position on February 2. Both will report directly to Big Loud partners Seth England, Joey Moi, and Craig Wiseman. The duo will oversee all label operations, including artist development, A&R, promotion, marketing, and strategic planning. This leadership shift comes as Big Loud Records enters
what it describes as its most ambitious and globally focused era to date.
Why It's Important?
The appointment of Blythe and Pettit as co-presidents is a strategic move to bolster Big Loud Records' position in the competitive music industry. With Blythe's extensive experience in promotion and Pettit's industry relations expertise, the label is poised to enhance its artist-first approach and expand its cultural impact beyond Nashville. This leadership change is particularly significant as Big Loud has recently celebrated major successes, including Morgan Wallen being named Billboard's artist of the year for 2025. The new leadership is expected to leverage these achievements to further strengthen the label's market presence and foster deeper relationships within the music industry.
What's Next?
As Blythe and Pettit take on their new roles, they are expected to focus on aligning the company's operations to support its global expansion goals. This may involve exploring new markets, enhancing digital strategies, and fostering innovative collaborations with artists and industry partners. The leadership team will likely prioritize initiatives that build on Big Loud's recent successes, such as its recognition as the No. 1 Billboard Hot Country Songs label from 2021 to 2025. Stakeholders, including artists and industry partners, will be closely watching how these changes impact the label's growth trajectory and its ability to maintain its artist-first ethos.
