The Illini Deca-Jam track and field meet concluded on April 11 at Demirjian Park in Champaign, Illinois. The event saw multiple athletes from Illinois achieving top positions. Urbana native Jackson Gilbert
secured first place in the 800m run. Grace Kombetto also made headlines by recording the fourth-fastest time in school history, finishing first in her event with a time of 2:05.07. Additionally, Centennial graduate Shawn Lacy won the 100m dash representing Eastern Illinois University. A notable achievement was by Jane Roosimagi, who set a new school record in the javelin throw with a distance of 52.65 meters, breaking a record that had stood since 1989.
