Galliford Try, a FTSE 250-listed contractor, has been awarded a £60 million contract to construct a munitions handling facility at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk. This project is being procured by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) on behalf of
the United States Air Force (USAF), which operates from the Suffolk base. The contract involves the construction of three munitions handling buildings, which will include storage, testing, maintenance, and administrative facilities. This marks Galliford Try's first project for the USAF, although the company has previously completed projects at other RAF bases such as RAF Marham and RAF Coningsby.
