The show will replace the online feed of The Pete and Sebastian Show, a podcast hosted by Maniscalco and Correale since 2013. New episodes will air every Tuesday at 12 p.m. ET on SiriusXM and will be available on demand via the SiriusXM app and to SiriusXM Podcasts+ subscribers. Video episodes will be released a week later on Maniscalco’s YouTube channel, with audio versions accessible on various podcast platforms.
Why It's Important?
This development marks a significant expansion of Maniscalco's influence in the comedy industry, providing him with a dedicated platform to reach a broader audience. SiriusXM's decision to create a channel centered around Maniscalco underscores his status as a leading figure in comedy, known for his sold-out tours and popular specials. The partnership enhances SiriusXM's comedy offerings, which already include channels like Netflix Is a Joke Radio and Comedy Central Radio. By aligning with Maniscalco, SiriusXM aims to attract his fan base and bolster its position in the competitive podcast and comedy radio market. This move could also set a precedent for other comedians seeking similar opportunities to expand their reach through exclusive media channels.
What's Next?
Listeners can anticipate a variety of content on Maniscalco's new channel, including fresh comedic material and engaging discussions. The collaboration with SiriusXM may lead to further creative projects and partnerships, potentially involving other comedians and entertainers. As the channel gains traction, it could influence the landscape of comedy radio, encouraging more personalized and curated content. Maniscalco's involvement may also inspire other comedians to explore similar ventures, potentially leading to a diversification of comedy offerings on satellite radio.
